Heworth extended their unbeaten away run to six matches in the Leeper Hare York and District Football League second division with a 1-0 midweek triumph at Heslington.

Carl McKenzie was the ace in the Heworth pack who struck the only goal of the game. Moor Lane hit two late goals to earn a 4-4 home draw with promotion chasing Rawcliffe Rangers.

Ben Richardson scored for the eighth game on the trot as unbeaten division three league leaders Terrington Glory defeated Crayke 5-0.

It was the first home defeat in six outings for Crayke.

Mick Pipe hit a brace of goals as his Strensall side stretched their unbeaten run into double figures when beating LNER Builders 5-1.

Neil Hunter hit a hat-trick for Melbourne as they beat promotion chasing Wheldrake 5-1, the same score that Wheldrake won the reverse fixture by in January.

Heworth registered their first clean sheet in Reserve ‘A’ in 15 months after they defeated Copmanthorpe 2-0, while leaders Haxby needed a last-minute penalty from Stuart Ogden to salvage a point in their derby with Wigginton. The duel finished 1-1.
