Haxby 'keeper Mark Phillips saved a late Terry Hibbert penalty to deny Copmanthorpe maximum points as the leaders of the Leeper Hare York Football League premier division were held to 2-2 draw.

After a goalless first half, Dave Newton put Haxby in front, but two goals from Robin Bedford swung the pendulum in Cop's favours.

Newton salvaged a point for Haxby, who are top on goal difference, with his second goal of the game.

Wigginton chalked up their fourth home win on the bounce as they beat Tockwith 3-0. Dave Thompson, Terry Taylor and Danny Franks were the scorers.

Hamilton Panthers were 2-0 down inside three minutes at Malton & Norton, as Simon Collins headed home from a set piece and Jamie Hopwood scored.

But they got back on level terms before the half hour mark with goals from Liam Stilgoe and Jon Beech.

Craig McDonald restored the lead for the Ryedale side just before the break, but Paul King earned Panthers a point from a 3-3 draw.

Dunnington beat fellow strugglers Nestlé 3-2 at home.

The visitors took an early lead and then missed a penalty before two goals from Chris Burgess put Dunnington in front and Robbie Hart added a third.

All the home sides in division one took maximum points.

Pocklington moved up to second as two goals from Scott Sullivan, the division's leading scorer, helped them to a 4-3 win over Ouseburn. Nathan Walker and James Saltmer also scored.

Olly Newby gave Wilberfoss the lead after four minutes of their home match with Bishopthorpe and, although Greg Fitzmaurice equalised from the spot, Wilberfoss triumphed 2-1 with a penalty from Danny Johns.

Nick and Jamie Rank both scored first half goals for Stamford Bridge, but they went into the break on level terms as Andy Lee and Paul Clarke replied for Heslington.

In the second half, the hosts took control with goals from Matt Taylor and John Hetherington to win 4-2.

Pete Collier sent Riccall on their way to a 3-1 home win over Norwich Union.

John Knowles then doubled their tally with a penalty and Collier got his second. Matt Hilden reduced the deficit with a penalty.

Division two leaders Rufforth hit back from a goal down to Strensall to win 5-2.

Shaun Lyons converted a penalty for Strensall but a brace each from Glen Thompson and Graham Rae and one from Danny Rogers saw Rufforth home. Tudor Carrington pulled one back for the hosts.

The two unbeaten sides in the division met at New Lane and it was the hosts York RI who maintained their record as they beat Hemingbrough 3-1. Lee Dutton scored a goal in each half to add to a Dave Melody goal, with Kez Morris replying.

Fulford and Huby drew 2-2. Danny Hall and Steve Illing scored for Fulford, with Simon Wilson hitting both Huby goals.

White Horse lost 2-0 to Post Office, with Reece Chappelow and Richard Wells scoring.

Elvington skipper Simon Rycroft led the way with a goal in his side's 7-0 win over Moor Lane. Luke Dove (2), Ben Small (2), Neil Alexander and Tom Hovington also scored.

Simon Kehoe scored twice for St Clement's in their 4-2 home win over Selby RSSC. Jordan Hornby and Ken Sharman were also on the scoresheet, with Matty Williams and Craig Piggott replying.

In division three, all the visiting sides took the honours.

Leaders Heworth hammered Civil Service 9-0 with goals from Jack Blackmore, Dan Horsley, Jonathon Gall, an og, Ben Clarke (3) and Richard Burnett (2).

Rawcliffe trounced hosts Stillington 11-1. Louis Howarth led the rout with a hat-trick, with other goals from Dave Stoner (2), Kev O'Leary (2), Ricky Hunter, Liam Willowham, Adam Morton and Ben Coxen.
