SELBY Town slipped out of the play-off places in Northern Counties East League division one as they were held to a 1-1 draw at lowly Worsbrough Bridge Athletic.

Gary Collier struck four minutes after the restart to nullify the 20th-placed home side's 32nd-minute opener.

The stalemate means Robins now lie in eighth having taken two points from the last three games against two of the bottom three sides.

Selby made a good start to the game with Collier just failing to get a touch on a Joe Dale cross and Liam Flanagan rattling the crossbar.

Worsbrough took the lead just after half an hour with a close-range header before Collier smashed home from close in to level.

Dale came close, beating two men and hitting the bar, but the Robins could not find another response.

The result follows a 2-0 loss at Shirebrook Town on Thursday night.

Leaders Knaresborough Town made it 17 games unbeaten with a 4-0 home win over Retford United. Brad Walker, Matthew Donnelly, Stephen Bromley and Sam Cook were all on target.

Premier division third-placed side Pickering Town made the most of leaders AFC Mansfield drawing with a 3-0 home win over Parkgate.

Strikes from Ged Dalton, George Bissett and Matty Turnbull moved the Pikes within eight points of the summit.

Harrogate Railway Athletic earned their first win in eight games with a 2-1 victory at Liversedge.

Scarborough Athletic are seven points off the pace at the top of the Evo-Stik League north following 2-1 defeat at Atherton Collieries, Michael Coulson getting the Seadogs' goal.

The defeat followed a League Cup exit at the Colls' hands on Thursday night.

Harrogate Town moved a point behind National League North leaders Salford City with a game in hand thanks to a 2-0 home win over Gainsborough Trinity. Jack Emmett and Mark Beck were on target.
