DIVISION four side Crayke providing the shock of the York Minster Engineering League Junior Cup first round, beating division three high-fliers Huby United 4-3.

Andy Haigh, Tom Green and Joe Evans netted for Huby, who have won promotion to division two, but they were outgunned by Alan Boyd (2), John Dey and Karl Slater.

Also exiting the competition to lower league opposition were Civil Service, who were sunk 7-2 by hosts South Milford. Paul Moran hit a double hat-trick for the home side, with Carl Shepherd and Craig Theaker netting for the visitors.

Richard Matthews fired Bishopthorpe United into round two with the only goal of the game in their clash with Swinton.

Adam Galloway hit a treble for Huntington FC as they pipped Cawood 5-4. Matthew Ward (2), Lawrence Walsh and Ben Bloxham replied. Heworth Green won 3-2 at Wetherby Athletic.

Harrison Signs caused a stir in round one of the Reserve Cup, defeating Dunnington 3-2.

Warren Lowe bagged a brace for Signs with Chris Bullen also netted. Andy Rose and Harry Todd notched for the several times winners but it was not enough to stop them from crashing out.

Reserve 'B' leaders Pocklington Town defeated Thorpe United of reserve 'A' on penalties after a 2-2 draw.

Huntington Rovers, the odds-on reserve 'A' favourites, beat Osbaldwick 4-2. Rhidian Mansfield, Ash Hill, Pete Laidlaw and Lee Bunce netted for Rovers, with Isaac Clark and Adam Burton replying.

Wigginton Grasshoppers saw off F1 Racing 3-1 thanks to goals from Tom Derbyshire (2) and Craig Harrison. Ross Howard replied.

Bishopthorpe United won their all-reserve 'B' tie with Riccall on penalties after a 3-3 draw. Matthew Blackburn and Oliver James (2) struck for Bish.

Mark Foster scored twice for Heworth Green but Old Malton St Mary's edged through 3-2. Neighbours Malton & Norton joined them in the draw after Kingsley Daffern and Rob Hague gave the a 2-0 win over Fulford.

Billy Warren (2) and Ryan Peart bagged for Haxby United but the hosts were sunk by goals from Luke Zacharenko (2), Matthew Clark and Ricki Hutton as Hemingbrough progressed.

Church Fenton White Horse comfortably won 6-0 at Stamford Bridge while Matthew Fishburn struck a hat-trick for Easingwold Town in their 5-0 win at Civil Service. Alistair Irwin and Harry Sutcliffe also netted.

Cliffe endured a miserable trip to Brooklyn, their only consolation being a Liam Tomlinson goal in a 12-1 drubbing.
