SELBY Town made it three wins out of four in Northern Counties East League division one with a 3-1 victory over Rossington Main.

Goals from Liam Flanagan, Calum Ward, and Jason Crisp secured the points despite Cameron Johnson’s late consolation goal for Rossington.

Knaresborough Town were held to a 2-2 draw by Nostell Miners Welfare with Colin Heath and Simon Parkes on target.

A last minute goal by Kai Hancock condemned Harrogate Railway Athletic to defeat in a seven goal thriller against Athersley Recreation in the NCEL premier division.

Goals from Sam Denton (2) and player-manager Paul Beesley put Railway 3-2 ahead but Ryan White equalised with 25 minutes to play before Hancock scored his second goal of the game to secure three points. Lee Garside also found the net for Athersley.

Simon Ainge scored four goals as Harrogate Town recorded a 6-3 victory over Alfreton Town in Vanarama National League North.

Warren Burrell and Joe Leesley were also on the scoresheet for Simon Weaver’s men.

In the Evo-Stik Premier League, Whitby Town suffered a 3-1 defeat at Ashton United - despite their opponents having to play the majority of the game without a recognised goalkeeper.
