OLD rivals Old Malton St Mary’s and Dunnington squared up again – with the latter progressing to the last four of the York Minster Engineering League Cup after a catalogue of errors from the Ryedale side.

Dunnington emerged from the game as 3-0 winners after seeing all three goals scored by Malton’s own players.

Nigel Horner and Jamie England combined to give Cliffe a 2-1 half time lead over Rawcliffe, with England adding his second to settle the game after the break and assure his side of a place in the semi-final draw.

Kirkbymoorside made light work of Barmby Moor in the League Junior Cup, winning 6-2.

An outstanding display from the Brooklyn keeper stopped F1 from adding significantly to the scoreline, and the most they could manage was a second goal from Alex Martin.

Church Fenton White Horse sprung back to life with an excellent 7-0 success over York Railway Institute.

George Wilson and Jake Duckworth then sent the home side into a decisive 3-1 lead before Gaz Fisher reduced the deficit to one in the last minute of the game.

Joe Wilkes’ 80th minute effort upset Pcoklington Town’s title challenge as Tockwith won 1-0.

Hemingbrough moved to within a point of the summit following a 5-4 win at Easingwold. Tom Collins (2), Luke Zacharenko, Gary Chapman and Craig Haythorne were all on target for ‘Brough.

Thorpe United are determined to make Kirkbymoorside work hard for the division two title, and they extended their lead at the top to nine points with a 5-1 win at Stamford Bridge.

Martin Howson bagged four in the win with substitute Andrew Wilson adding a fifth late on. Kirkbymoorside still have five games in hand through which they can claw back the deficit.
