SELBY TOWN go to Dronfield Town in Northern Counties East League division one tomorrow in their “best form of the season”.

The Robins’ 1-0 win over Teversal last time out was their fourth in five games and manager Dave Ricardo is hopeful of continuing that streak against a side in 19th in the table.

He said: “We have been putting wins together over a six, seven and eight-game period. We are hoping to continue that against Dronfield.

“They don’t lose by many and are a funny side, especially at home. They are quite a young, competitive outfit and most of their games are quite tight.

“We are creating a lot of chances and are hoping for another three points.”

Goalkeeper David Bramley has moved from Pickering Town to Selby as cover and Ricardo also moved to address the future of captain Matty Turnbull, who has been the subject of an approach from Pickering Town.

“Matty Turnbull is happy at Selby,” he said. “We are lucky to have him as our skipper.

“We know how lucky we are and, at the end of the season, we will make a decision that’s best for him and us.”

Pickering Town, who have lost only one of their last seven matches, host Athersley Recreation tomorrow and then travel to Retford United on Easter Monday in the premier division.

Knaresborough Town are at Worsborough Bridge Athletic in division one.

Having been forced to settle for a 1-1 draw at home to Lowestoft Town last weekend, Harrogate Town are on their travels - going to Stalybridge Celtic in Conference North on Saturday.

They follow that up by entertaining shock FA Trophy winners North Ferriby United at Wetherby Road on Easter Monday.

In Evo-Stik League division one north, Harrogate Town host Burscough tomorrow and then go to Spennymoor Town on Monday.

Scarborough Athletic, fighting to remain in the promotion race, are at Prescot Cables before entertaining title-chasing Darlington 1883.
