WOODHOUSE Grange will play host to York and District Senior Cricket League rivals Folkton and Flixton in the third round of the npower National Village competition.

The two teams will meet at Sutton-on-Derwent on Sunday, May 21 after Folkton beat Church Fenton by eight wickets.

Fenton reached 149-9 in the second round clash with John Sowden (3-28) and James Brown (2-38) restricting their progress.

Neil Eldridge's 81 not out then led Folkton to victory for the loss of just two wickets.

Woodhouse are yet to play a game in the tournament with scheduled second round opponents Burton Leonard forfeiting the tie.

Sessay will take on Cayton in the third round after a comfortable seven-wicket win against Sleights, who were bowled out for 117.

The Main Street outfit reached their target in just 18 overs with Matthew Till cracking 96.

Holders Sheriff Hutton Bridge, who lifted the cup at Lord's last year, saw their second round home match against Heslerton rained off.

The game will now be played at Heslerton on Sunday with the winners facing Cumberworth United or Spofforth next.
