SECOND-placed York CC will be looking to maintain the pressure on leaders Harrogate when hosting Scarborough tomorrow in the Hunters ECB Yorkshire Premier League North.

With six games of the season to play, the two sides are still separated by just seven points.

Scarborough, who are one place above the relegation zone, won for the first time in three attempts last weekend against Stamford Bridge who, this week, host Driffield Town.

Victory could see Bridge leap-frogging their opponents into fifth spot.

Acomb are at home for the second consecutive Saturday against fourth placed Sheriff Hutton Bridge.

Dunnington are desperate for points as they battle to avoid relegation.

Jack Bolam’s side will take encouragement from last weekend’s narrow defeat by leaders Harrogate

and can afford nothing other than victory tomorrow over Castleford, the only team beneath them in the table.

Castleford have gone four games without picking up a point but are still just a point behind.

Both have a mountain to climb to stay up, however, as Scarborough, the team they are trying to catch, are 38 points clear of the drop zone.

Woodhouse Grange pulled clear of danger by picking up 24 points in an impressive run of winning draws over the last three weeks. Captain Andrew Bilton, who led the way with 46 runs against Castleford last week, will be aware that his side face a tougher task tomorrow against third placed Yorkshire Academy, however, at Sandhill Lane.

Academy strolled to a nine wicket victory last weekend at Acomb.

Leaders Harrogate, meanwhile, play host to mid-table Hull.

The latter have lost to both York and Acomb in the last two weeks.
