BASEMENT side Dringhouses hit form in style as they whipped Whitkirk by 125 runs in division two of the Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League.
Chris Storey hit 91 and Ian Wilson 44 as hosts Dringhouses rattled up a total of 205.
Whitkirk’s Alex Gummerson took 5-58 and Ben Danby 3-52. Simon Danby responded with 36, but a trio of Dringy bowlers held sway.
Tom Owen had the better figures of 4-15, while Tom Storr claimed 3-16 and veteran Mike Kenyon 3-13 as Whitkirk tumbled to 80 all out.
Beverley Town II retained second spot with a comfortable home win over Malton & Old Malton. Malton were bowled out for 117 by Adam Nicholson (5-31), despite 50 from James Dawson. Tim Smith (57) and Paul Best (25no) steered Beverley to a seven-wicket triumph.
Londesborough Park beat hosts Clifton Alliance II by 121 runs.
Three Park batsmen made an impact in their total of 203-6, with John Williamson making 43, Greg Drewery 42 and Charlie Rook 38.
Clifton were dismissed for 82 in 36.5 overs.
A fine stand for the fifth wicket rescued Thorp Arch & Boston Spa as they beat Hull by 53 runs.
Arch slipped to 24-4 before Guy Whatmore (82no) and Ben Bartlett (94) added 172 to take them to 201-5. Hull were all out for 148.
