YORKSHIRE will play host to the Army's Yorkshire Regiment at Headingley tomorrow for the second day of LV County Championship match against Lancashire.
The Yorkshire Regiment was formed in 2006 from its Yorkshire Infantry predecessors, The Prince of Wales's Own Regiment of Yorkshire, The Green Howards and the Duke of Wellington's Regiment.
Cricketing legends Hedley Verity, Herbert Sutcliffe and Norman Yardley are among those who have served in the Regiment's predecessors.
The Roses rivals will be once again competing for the Duke of Leeds Cup. The cup is on display in the East Stand Long Room and is on permanent loan from the Regiment.
