YORKSHIRE have been bowled out for 175 during today’s Royal London one-day Cup clash with Somerset at Scarborough.

The Vikings look set for their second defeat from seven Group 'A' matches, although their total could have been far worse had it not been for a tenth-wicket stand of stand of 67 between Karl Carver and Sheriff Hutton Bridge youngster Matthew Fisher, who hit 35 not out and 34 respectively.

New-ball pair Josh Davey and Craig Overton picked up two wickets apiece, as did left-arm spinner Jack Leach, while Peter Trego claimed four after Yorkshire won the toss and batted.

The hosts failed to recover from 7-3 in the third over, although a fifth-wicket stand of 70 between Will Rhodes (37) and top-scorer Jack Leaning (40) raised hopes.

Four wickets fell in the nineties as Yorkshire slipped from 92-4 to 97-8 before the Fisher and Carver heroics.

This has happened on the day that Andrew Gale has resigned from his post as Yorkshire’s limited overs captain with immediate effect, with Alex Lees taking over until the end of the season.
