Yorkshire have suffered a disappointing fourth morning with the bat to open the door for Surrey at Headingley.

All three results are still possible heading into the final two sessions of this LV= County Championship match as the White Rose reached lunch at 158-5 with a lead of 238 having slipped from 76-1.

Former Yorkshire left-arm spinner Gary Keedy has been the chief architect of his former side’s downfall by taking four wickets, his best haul in a Surrey shirt since a winter move from Lancashire.

He forced Adam Lyth to play on before getting Andrew Gale caught at square-leg by Arun Harinath for a duck and debutant Jack Leaning caught at slip by Zander de Bruyn for a duck. Gale and Leaning fell in the space of three balls.

Keedy’s first wicket had come last night when he trapped Alex Lees lbw.

And Yorkshire were five down when Joe Sayers miscued an attempted pull at Chris Tremlett and was caught by Keedy at point for 24, leaving the score at 114-5.

Adil Rashid (44) and Andrew Hodd have fashioned a late recovery with an unbroken 44 for the sixth wicket, and they will resume this afternoon.
