CENTURIES from Jack Bolam (142no) and Harrison Mussell (109no) could not prevent Sessay from overtaking Dunnington at the top of the Hunters Y&DSCL Premier Division. The pair were left frustrated when after having helped their side reach 273-2 the match at Norwood Park was abandoned with hosts Beverley Town on 114-2, Harry Gamble left undefeated on 55.

With rain effecting most of the days matches Sessay wasted no time in beating Goole Town. The visitors were bowled out for 126 with Liam Carver (3-32) and Mark Wilkie (3-15) each finishing with three wickets. The hosts then raced to victory off just 22 overs with Joseph Watson finishing unbeaten on 56 and Jacob Spencer 39 not out.

Driffield Town climbed to fourth with a six wicket win over Bolton Percy at North Road. Owen Goldsworthy enjoyed a productive weekend adding an unbeaten 79 to Saturday’s 86 against Pickering and with the help of Ben Lawrence (48no) the visitors eased to their victory target of 191. Earlier Buddhi Mirando (54) had top scored for the home side as Oliver West took 4-64.

York were the days only other winners a three wicket win at home to Pickering lifted them three places up the table. The visitors were bowled out for 129, Colin Frank (30) providing the main resistance as Ted Patmore (5-23) and Tom Forsdike (3-48) gave their side the upper hand. The home side didn’t have things all their own way as Dave Greenlay struck back with 4-23 but York picked up their first win in three thanks to Ben Robinson (30), and an unbeaten 30 from Ben Harris.

A half-century from Rob Nicholson (53) and 42 from Dan Craven helped Studley Royal reach 236-7 despite four wickets from Whitkirk’s Simon Webb (4-65) but that was as far as that game got, and it was a similar story at Castleford where Malton & Old Malton had made 201-7 when play was abandoned with Daniel Foxton making 59 and Connor Fisher having taken 3-62.
