DRINGHOUSES took over at the top of Ebor division two after leaders Scarborough II slumped to a five-wicket defeat.

York III also capitalised and moved into second spot thanks to a nine-wicket win at Malton & Old Malton II.

Scarborough's game against Heminbrough had been moved to Huby due to county action at North Marine Road.

Darren Mills (40) helped the home side to 148-10 but Tom Collins scored 93 not out to give Hemingbrough victory.

Chris Evans produced a match winning performance for Dringhouses at Londesborough Park taking 5-23 as the home side were cleaned up for 118, and then scoring an unbeaten 32 as he and fellow opener Andrew Simpson (85*) saw their side through to a ten-wicket win.

York III took maximum points with a convincing nine wicket win at M&OMII.

The home side had been restricted to165-9, Paul Tierney (47) and Tom Forsdike taking 4-36 for York. In the second innings, opener David Brown (71no) saw his side home supported by Russell Bowry (65no).

In the all-York local derby at Acomb II (190-1), home side batsman Paul Hemingway (103*) hit a ton as he and Alex Topham (70*) saw their side through to a nine wicket win against Clifton Alliance II (187-9).

Scott Nicholls had taken 5-57 for Acomb whilst Niall Tilsley (33), Alistair Wray (32) and Matt Phillips (32) made decent contributions for the visitors.

Yapham continued their form with a convincing 110 run home win against Heworth. Jack Holman (77) helped Yapham to 206-7 in the first innings before Jonathan Flint snatched 4-24 as Heworth were bowled out for 96.

Pickering II (133-9) held out for 52 overs after bowling out visiting Carlton Towers for 157.

In division three, leaders Stamford Bridge II (218-8) grabbed the bulk of the points in their home game against Goole Town II (115-9). Martyn Woodliffe scored 90 and Paul Milner 63 for Bridge.

Selby chased down the 160-8 scored by travelling Civil Service and pulled off a 6 wicket win. Civil Service veteran Graham Purdy had top scored on 44.

Copmanthorpe grabbed a narrow six run win at home to Pocklington II (106-10) after Darren Hughes (50) took them to 112-10 after Daniel Croft had taken 6-24 for the visiting side. Salman Syed (5-17) made a telling contribution to earn Copmanthorpe maximum points.

Whitkirk II (220-8) narrowly missed out on victory after Cawood (227-5) successfully defended their first innings total. The chase was led by Sam Parker (86) and Stuart Pickles (56), but Mike Gibson bagged 4-45 in a close encounter.

In division four, Tom Ellwood was unbeaten on 64 as North Duffield scored 230-5 in their win at Carlton Towers II (79-10). The home side's reply was curtailed by Craig Patrick’s 6-15 off 12 overs as his side opened up a gap at the top of the division.

Second placed Thorp Arch & Boston Spa II took full points in their win at Heworth IV. Geoff Toulmin hit 46 for Heworth as they were bowled out for 119. In reply, the TABS innings closed on 121-2.

Nigel Bartram returned an all-round winning performance of 29 and 4-19 as Cawood II (121-4) beat Bolton Percy II (120-10) by six wickets at Maypole Gardens.

Drax took the bulk of the points in a drawn game at Woodhouse Grange IV. Kevin Thomas top scored for the visitors (139 all out) who then restricted their hosts to 105-8.
