YORK III maintained their hold at the top of York and District Senior League Ebor division two thanks to a draw at Acomb II.

Bowler Harry Watkinson took 6-17 in a miserly spell of bowling for Acomb as York ended on 175-9. In reply, Acomb scored 157-9 with York's Tom Forsdyke contributing 5-27.

Carlton Towers were another of the top three sides to draw when Mark Spetch hit 74 and Matthew Torn 60 not out as they posted 224-5 at home to Heworth II who had Neil Martin (54) amongst others to thank for a score of 183-7.

Neil Elvidge scored an unbeaten 118 for Scarborough II (249-2) against Dringhouses (100-9). Charlie Roberts (69) and Tom Precious (31 no) added valuable support.

Unbeaten centuries from Ben Shingles (108 no) and Charlie Rook (104 no) inspired visiting Londesborough Park to 250-1 at Pickering II (169-9) for whom Leslie Welburn contributed 70.

In a low scoring game at Shipton Road, home side Clifton Alliance II chalked up 131-10 only to see it chased down by Hemingbrough (132-2) in double quick time with skipper Tom Collins producing an impressive all-round performance of 80 with the bat and 5-30 with the ball.

Skipper Tom Audsley hit 54 as Malton & Old Malton II were skittled for 84 at Yapham (85-2) as Alex Nattrass took 5-16 and Jonathan Flint 3-40 for the home side.

Leaders Stamford Bridge II (78-4) cemented their place at the top of Ebor division three with a comprehensive win at Castleford II (75-10).

Mark Fairweather had shot out the home side for a low score.

Josh Tattersall hit 15 boundaries in his 119 not out for Dunnington II (250-5) at Selby II (126-8) to keep them in touch with the leaders with their hosts hanging on despite Adam Dyson taking 4-48.

Whitkirk II notched up 245-7 at home to Goole II (181-5) as they came out on top in a high scoring draw.

In a low scoring affair at Pocklington, visitors Londesborough Park II were cleaned up for 112 with Ian Hodson (47) top scoring. Home side Pocklington II were guided home by Neal Jackson (50 not out) and Andy Inns (28 not out).

In Ebor Division Four, Drax took over as division four leaders after Ben Worley scored 44 in an innings of 168-6 against North Duffield (155-9).

Carlton Towers II 163-7 was enough to take most of the points against Woodhouse Grange IV (144-8) after John Torn top scored with 43 and then John Gilbank hit 34 for the visitors.

Stuart Ross played a leading role in Heworth IV’s winning draw at home to Cawood II despite Nasir Shefta hitting 101 for the visitors.

Ross was unbeaten on 53 as Heworth posted 222-7 declared and then took 3-29 with the ball as Cawood closed at 183-8.

Thorp Arch & Boston Spa II (158-4) were victors at home to Bolton Percy II (157-10) after Oliver Riley (3-41) and Sam Mottershead (3-37) shared the bulk of the wickets and then Dale Gibson (48) helped steer the home side past the winning post.
