RIPON took maximum points in a low-scoring game at home to Sessay II to stay top of Galtres division two in the Hunters York and District Senior League

Batting first, Jake Briscombe took 4-19 as Sessay were skittled out for 104 and then Rob Taylor was unbeaten on 65 as Ripon won by nine wickets.

Pannal (231-7) returned to winning ways with a comprehensive win at home to Easingwold II (140-10) after Rob Smith scored 38 and then weighed in with 4-31.

At Hovingham (151-10), visitors Duncombe Park (157-3) quickly chased down the first innings score as Brian Leckenby scored 96 not out for the Helmsley based outfit.

At Tadcaster Magnet (109-10) the home side failed to reach the target set by visitors Thirsk who had closed at 129-9: Stuart Christon taking 4-21 in the second innings to give the visitors maximum points.

Paul Horsey (71) top scored as Wetherby chalked up their first win of the season with a 49 run win at home to Sheriff Hutton Bridge II.

Jordan Grose took 4-53 for Bridge as Wetherby closed on 192-8, then Ian Twitchen led the way for Wetherby with a tight spell of 4-6 off ten overs.

At Woodhouse Grange II, Dan Durkin took 4-62 as Thorp Arch & Boston Spa were restricted to 164-9.

In reply Scott Shepherd (62) and Matt Durkin (67) led the home side who lost just three wickets.

Stillington remain top in Galtres division three after Jack Cartwright hit 76 not out in a total of 298-7 against Civil Service II (197-7). Despite a century from Ian Clish (113) the home side fell short.

Andy Routledge (55) top scored as New Earswick (128-4) beat Huby (127-10) by six wickets. Tom Piercy hit 56 and Kev Barker took an impressive 3-7.

In a low scoring match at Sheriff Hutton, visitors Heworth III were shot out for just 37 with Ian Bews turning in a remarkable spell of 5-4 off four overs as his side won by eight wickets.

Rowntrees & Huntington scored 171-4 at Woodhouse Grange III (173-6) with Steve Beales (84) and Tom Shaw (59) but it was not enough as Luke Wilson (79) and Des Wyrill (40) inspired the home side to a six-wicket win.

York IV (176-10) had a comprehensive win at home to Tadcaster II (61-10). Darren Harris (51) top scored for the home side with Matthew Scurry turning in a tight spell of 3-11 off six overs in the second.

In division four, Copmanthorpe (90-6) remain divisional leaders after beating Huby II (89-10) by four wickets with Roy Atkinson taking 7-13.

Hovingham II (212-8) took maximum points after beating hosts Duncombe Park II (153-10) by 59 runs.

A very young Osbaldwick II side restricted visitors Sheriff Hutton II to 109 with Andy Hall bagging 5-3 off 12 overs.

Callum Walton, aged just 14, took 3-21, and Grace Hall, aged 13, bowled several maidens and conceded just 15 off eight overs.

Walton scored 35 and Andy Hall 29 not out to help the home side to maximum points.

At York Road, visitors New Earswick II (175-9) came out on top in a drawn game after Stillington II (145-9) failed to chase down their guest's first innings total.
