MARK WILKIE produced an outstanding display as Sessay continued their domination of Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League division one.

The all-rounder took 5-21 and then top-scored with 71 as the league's runaway leaders beat closest rivals Bolton Percy by eight wickets.

Despite 56 from Peter Houseman, hosts Percy could only manage 162. Wilkie's efforts with the bat then saw Sessay race to victory inside 30 overs, Nick Harrison (43) and Simon Mason (31) also contributing to the successful chase.

Driffield Town II climbed up to second place with victory at local rivals Beverley Town II in a match which saw batsmen on both sides make centuries.

Michael Cooke made 100 and received good support from Robert Fish (51) as the visitors made 224-7, Matthew Saint finishing with 4-39. The home side were then indebted to Will Norman, who remained unbeaten on 112, to see his side over the line with eight wickets down and just a couple of overs to spare.

Pickering had to settle for a fourth draw in five matches as they were unable to dislodge Goole Town’s last wicket pair.

Colin Frank (58) top scored for a home side which needed the runs of Kieran Bowes (34no) and Craig Aconley (33no). Their last wicket stand of 59 took the total to 203.

Richard Mann (3-66) and James Kerr (3-59) both took three wickets, but their figures were bettered by Ryan Boyes (3-28) and Mark Shepherd (3-39) as Goole hung on for a share of the points at 160-9.

Bridlington remain in the promotion race following a comfortable six wicket win at Osbaldwick. Matthew Hattee (65) and Jonny Rawsthorne (55) both hit half-centuries for the home side, for whom Frankie Reffold finished with 5-29.

But an unbeaten 74 from Simon Leeson and Casey Rudd, with 41, ensured there were few alarms for Bridlington, who reached their target with just four wickets down.

Five batsmen made half-centuries as hosts Folkton & Flixton won a high scoring contest against Malton & Old Malton.

Thomas Bumby (53) and Daniel Foxton (52) helped Malton to an imposing 273-8 but, seemingly undaunted by the task at hand, Nick Zakrzewski (84) and Anthony Stones (56) laid the foundations.

That allowed Harry Walmsley (58no) and Chris Mann (33no) to take Folkton & Flixton to victory, despite the efforts of William Spencer, whose 4-44 stood out in a match dominated by the bat.

Scott Cooper (100) scored a century for Sewerby as they climbed off the foot of the table by beating Whitkirk by 147 runs.

James Ineson (4-32) did his best to restrict the visitors but Lyndon Warcup (63) and Adrian Long (35) boosted Sewerby's total to 249-4. Long then took 3-18 and Shaun Acton 3-34 as the hosts struggled to reach three figures, Richard Simpson top scoring with 34.
