THE Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League will return to a regional format in 2014.
The new structure aims to reduce the amount of travelling for clubs on the edges of the league’s vast catchment area.
The premier division and division one will cover the entire area, but there will be north and south sections at division two and three level, and three sections at division four level where a number of former East Riding Alliance clubs will operate.
Four teams have been elected with Duncombe Park II moving from the Scarborough Beckett League, and Copmanthorpe II, Woodhouse Grange IV and Hemingbrough switching from the York Vale League.
Albert Pattison takes over as league president from Bernard Stevens.
