YORK City will not sit back and look to just survive in League Two, said captain Chris Smith.
The Minstermen skipper has been buoyed by the efforts of previous teams promoted out of the Blue Square Bet Premier and believes the plan will be to kick on next season.
After City booked their place back in the pyramid following the 2-1 play-off final victory over Luton at Wembley, Smith said: “You look at Burton, Stevenage and Oxford.
They have all been there or thereabouts. I am sure the gaffer has a plan and we can kick on. We won’t be happy just to stay up, I’m sure.”
