Sam Stewart and Nichola Johnson sealed victory for Castle Howard Ox ‘B’ by the meanest of margins against visitors Burton Club, whose Jacque Wood closed 69 in the pairs with Linda Embleton.

Palace beat visitors Severus ‘A’ by the same margin in a game that went to the wire, Jeanette Robinson and Louise Iceton securing the win.

Turpin’s Alison King closed 100 and Laura Toomer hit 140 as they cemented second place in division three with a 6-3 win against Woolpack.

Leaders Edinburgh Arms had victory secured in the singles with good scoring from Amanda Bevan, Jan Netherwood and Julie Stables.
