York City kept their play-off hopes alive with a 2-1 victory at Hayes & Yeading United in the Blue Square Bet Premier.
Midfielder Jonathan Smith opened the scoring for the Minstermen with a 23rd minute header at Church Road.
Former City loan man Peter Holmes levelled for Hayes & Yeading on 75 minutes.
Substitute Michael Rankine won it for the visitors with a deflected header with ten minutes remaining.
The win saw the Minstermen move up to seventh in the table, nine points behind fifth-placed Kidderminster with three games in hand.
