Selby side Kartiers banked their first points of the season in the York Minster Engineering Football League premier division with a 3-1 victory at Poppleton.

The triumph ended a winless run of 26 games stretching back to February 20, 2010.

The Selby side dominated the first half and were duly rewarded as Glen Littlewood struck twice to add to a Dave Reasbeck goal.

The hosts had the better of the second period, but a Leon Sacs penalty was all they could muster.

Dunnington extended their unbeaten away run to six games as they toppled York St John 5-1.

Jimmy Wilmoth hit two of the visitors’ goals to add to strikes from Chris Burgess, Scott Sullivan and Tom Richards. Mike Widderley scored for the students.

A penalty by John Head earned Wilberfoss a 1-1 draw with visitors Hamilton Panthers, who had led through George Riley.

The top two sides in division one recorded comfortable victories.

Unbeaten leaders Wigginton won 4-0 at third-placed Selby RSSC.

Ben Coates, Matthew Tiplady and Steve Jarvis scored to add to an own goal.

Nestlé scored twice in the opening five minutes en route to a 6-0 home win over Malton & Norton.

Kev Butler’s 14th goal of the season gave the hosts a flying start before Ross Moynihan hit a second.

Chris Horwell made it 3-0 at half-time and after the break Butler hit his second and Moynihan completed his hat-trick.

Two goals from Jordan Hornby and one from Chris Rowan senior helped St Clement’s to a 3-0 win over Bishopthorpe. Division two leaders Terrington Glory beat White Horse 3-2.

Chris Land and Ally Cope scored for White Horse. Ben Richardson, Chris Leedham and Dave Bradshaw were on target for Glory.

Amotherby & Swinton preserved their 100 per cent record with a 2-1 win at Huby, with Simon Wall and Matty Webster scoring. Danny Camen replied for Huby. Strensall lost 3-2 at home to Rawcliffe, whose marksmen were Ricky Hunter, Dave Stoner and Andy Hart. John Cooper and Dave Plowman scored for the hosts.

Heworth drew 4-4 at Crayke with goals from Ben Clarke, Luke Laverack (2) and Phil Cordes. Jack Cartwright (2), Tom Hilling and Steve Langstaff netted for Crayke.

Stamford Bridge got their first points of the season from a 2-1 win at Ouseburn. Nick Rank and Paul Upton were the goal aces.
