Sammi Gabb and Tracey Cook
EAST Yorkshire rallying duo Sammi Gabb and Tracey Cook were thwarted by clutch failure in the Centenary Stages.
Driver Gabb, of North Duffield, and co-driver Cook, of Pocklington, and their GirlsRallying Team suffered a disappointing early finish at the Opposite Lock Rally, at Manby.
Then, sporting a new clutch provided by Autoserv of Selby, the pair’s Peugeot 106 Rallye was ready for action at RAF Barkston Heath. The team from York Motor Club overcame a damaged track rod end to finish third in class and 29th overall.
Fellow York pairing Steve Adamson and Marcus Blenkinsop were 12th overall and third in class with their Subaru Impreza.
