Division two leaders Selby had a frustrating day at Carlton Towers as the bottom side bagged a draw.

Matt Hoyle hit 66 and Gareth Roberts 42 not out as Selby got 215-6. Roberts claimed 3-34, but Carlton’s innings closed on 117-6.

Harrogate raced to a nine-wicket win over Pocklington.

Skipper George Owram (104no) recorded his second league ton as his side overhauled Pock’s 187-6, which included 61 by Andy Inns and 64 from Ian Camwell.

Malton & Old Malton climbed into second place when they dismissed Tadcaster Magnet for 96 after being bowled out for 158.

Malton’s Wayne Dawson reached 48 while Mike Linsley was unbeaten with 57.

Paul Downey took 5-53 in a 19-over spell for Magnet, but only Ed Day (34) performed with the bat as Malt’s Mark Yates claimed 3-20.

New Earswick defended 140 as they earned an 11-run victory over Dringhouses. Mike Kenyon captured 5-37, while fellow spinner John Crowe had 3-66.

Earswick’s total came via Andy James (38) and Kev Barker (28).

Sam Lingard hit 78, but Dring floundered against Paul Stimpson (3-19) and Martin Hewitson (4-29) as they were dismissed for 129.

Sewerby lost by five wickets at Osbaldwick after being dismissed for 139 by Andy Horner (4-21) and Richard Cox (4-27). Rich Carew fell for 28 and Andy Hall for 29, but Horner hit an unbeaten 31.
