FORMER York City player Chris Smith struck a late equaliser for Tamworth to deny his old club a vital Blue Square Premier win.
Smith levelled in the 82nd minute to cancel out Minstermen defender Luke Graham's 57th-minute bullet header from a Courtney Pitt cross.
Sixth-placed Kettering drew 2-2 with Mansfield, while the four sides above York - Rushden, Luton, Oxford and Stevenage - all won.
