THREE converted tries in ten minutes meant Nestlé Rowntree RUFC were blitzed 34-14 by a strong Ossett second team.
Trees had fought back to take the lead in the second period after falling behind to a charged down kick for a converted try.
Fly half Ryan Bushell replied with two drop goals but, each time, Ossett replied with penalties.
Quick ball from a lineout saw Jack Gabbatiss crash over in the corner and he then landed a penalty to give Trees a 14-13 lead.
However, Ossett scored three long-range tries which gave them a flattering margin.
Prop Graham North was Rowntree’s man of the match and forward Alex Roskoss made a promising debut.
