The Hunters York Senior Cricket League’s Readman Trophy reaches its climax on Sunday when, in its new Twenty/20 format, both semi-finals and final will all be played.

In the semi-finals, which start at 10.15am, Stillington are pitched against York II at Sheriff Hutton Cricket Club, while Heworth meet newcomers Hull & YPI at neighbouring Sheriff Hutton Bridge.

The final – scheduled for 2.15pm – will be staged at Sheriff Hutton Bridge where hot food and beverages will be available from 10am to 5pm.

Meanwhile, former England Surrey batsman Graham Thorpe will be the principal speaker at the league’s annual dinner at York Racecourse on Friday, October 16.
