I just hope his impressive loan form has not deserted him now he's signed up permanently. City's performances need to improve drastically in the crucial run-in to ensure our safety in this league as relegation is too daunting to even contemplate.

Bigstu. Is this a Liverpool/Everton forum ? I agree with some of your comments, but at least Farrell has tried in the past. The reference to his hair is a bit of a cheap shot. Did you go to Eastbourne on Saturday ? Lets all get behind them, whoever is picked at Alty. There cannot be a repeat of Saturday's debacle.

Hopefully the end of Andy Mac out of position.
With Alty signing Jodie Banim then hopefully Colin Little will not be on the pitch to haunt us tomorrow. We should have signed Little a couple of years ago - very skillful player at this level.
Predict a City win 4-3 with two from Brodie and a penalty (for a change).

Farrell to Gateshead rumour.

Pleased that Adam Smith has signed but we should not expect this to have solved all our problems. Its a team game and the other ten will have to earn their money. At least the sun wont be out!

We finally have a bit of balance to the squad and can see a side out there with a proper shape.

glad someone else wondered why liverpool and everton were mentioned thought i had clicked on the wrong website can we stick to york please smith is a good signing as i think c smith and brown look to be not sure how people are slating someone who has two goals from two games in midfield wish some of our strikers would score two in two games but lets get behind them and support the team not slate them from the first whistle like some in the shippo before lewes some were slating the performace before kick off these people would be better having a walk on the a64 instead of moaning and not supporting the team

This sounds like Ingham, Purkiss, Parslow, McGurk, Critchell, Brown, Mackin, C Smith, A Smith, Brodie and who else? McBreen looks a busted flush, Faz has been for an age, Sodje won't train, won't run and cannot last 90 minutes and Boyes is being "protected" so he's still in one piece when Man U come in for him in August. (Wild speculation not fact).

Don't want to put a dampner on things but yes he was impressive at times but anyone at the burton game at the KKC will have seen one of the most childish selfish performances i have ever witnessed if he gets his act together top signing if he doesnt another flop an we are in deep trouble

What an appauling comment.

A cheap shot at other clubs and it is not required here. Also, please do not use caps as it makes your comment even more difficult to read.

As a previous user stated, some of your comments may be valid but keep it on topic.

Personally I think Faz works really hard but has suffered badly from confidence and the ineptness of our previous manager. If he does leave, he leaves with my best wishes for the future.

Welcome back Smithy. Looked a great player in his loan spell.

Agree with old head though, it is at team game, not based on individuals and the other 10 willl have to start pulling their weight.

Just watched Barrow at Burton and for all they lack in skill, they make up for through sheer hard work and determination. They played well and deserved a draw and they never know when they are beaten, our lads could learn a lot from Barrow.

YORKCITY FC.
I agree with your comment,we cannot match sides for commitment. It is graft that will play a big part in keeping us up.

Really glad we've got smith, looks like a player who can change a game. Big thanks to Jason McGill for shelling out despite the recent £413,000 loss. Christian smith looks a quality player too. i believe we're starting to get the makings of a good team, just hope they can all play together, and if we stay up this season (which i think we will do) we should do ok next season...that is along as we dont sign all these good new players on silly contracts, heard arumour adam smith is only till end of the season, i think id of tied up next season too - just to avoid a; donaldson, A bishop and N bishop situation again!!

Agree with A uer of Selby
Faz has been the one player who would run & run. Always enjoyed his commitment & he made other players look good by his unselfish play.

Really unhappy with his performances now, Wish him all the best as a change of club will do him world of good.
Remember how Parkin improved after leaving a failing team.

Pleased as punch about the signing of Adam Smith. He's the kind of 'breakthrough' player we've been sadly lacking since the departure of Wolly.

It's also nice to see some of you praising Craig Farrell. Not only does he heap substantial pressure on the opposition defence with his dogged running and tackling, but in the past two seasons he has consistently been our most intelligent (and accurate) passer of the ball.

There's been a lot of stick about him this season - has he suddenly lost his footballing abilities, or is he being judged purely on the fact that (and it's hard to deny,) he hasn't scored enough this season? I'm wondering whether it's worth trying him in a midfield role.

Also - Onome Sodje: He has a persistent hamstring problem and has pulled-up while 'on the break' on numerous occasions. This suggests to me that he's not lazy, but simply scared of a re-occurance. Either way, he's far short of his best, but wouldn't it be better for the fans to get behind him instead of knocking him down and jumping to the conclusion that he's lazy?

It's all very well saying Craig Farrell works hard, but the fact of the matter is he is not good enough in front of goal. I've seen few strikers as bad as him when it comes to 1-on-1 chances. Can he get the ball off the floor?

Don't think many would question Farrell's commitment or will to win.
But as in any job you are judged on your ability to influence and produce results, which sadly he achieve's neither.
If you look at his scoring record generally (and don't include the four against Rushall)it is a very poor return for a striker.
