YORK star Lauren Winfield-Hill has lost her central contract with England Women.

The Northern Diamonds opening batter, from Stamford Bridge, has missed out on one of the 18 deals handed out by the ECB.

The 32-year-old has been overlooked as part of a seemingly intention move towards younger players.

Lauren Bell (21), Alice Capsey (18), Charlie Dean (21), Freya Kemp (17), Emma Lamb (24) and Issy Wong (20) have all earned their first central contracts.

Winfield-Hill is currently for Melbourne Stars in the Women's Big Bash League. The Stars beat Adelaide Strikers by 22 runs on Wednesday, with Winfield-Hill contributing 47 at the top of the order.
