YORK City will stage Academy and Foundation Elite trials at the club’s Wigginton Road training base next month.
The trials will represent an opportunity for boys and girls, aged between six and 16, to develop further as a player or receive extra coaching alongside that they receive from their club.
There will also be a chance for those who show the necessary ability to link up with City’s academy or FA Tier 1 Girls Regional Talent Club.
Boys trials will be held on Monday, July 2, 9 and 16 from 5.30pm to 6.30pm for under-six/sevens and U8s and from 7pm to 8pm for U9/10s and U11s.
On Tuesday, July 3, 10 and 17, the U12 and U13 trials will take place from 5.30pm to 7pm and the U14s and U15s (where recruitment will be for the academy only) from 7pm to 8.30pm.
The girls’ trials will be staged on Monday, July 2, 9 and 16 from 5.30pm to 6.30pm for U8/9/10s and U11s and from 7pm to 8pm for U12/13/14s and U15s.
Girls must be available for all three dates, although the July 16 date is invitation only.
