YORK City will host Yorkshire neighbours Barnsley in a pre-season fixture at Bootham Crescent on Tuesday, July 10 (7pm).
The fixture with the League One side is the latest addition to a pre-season programme which already includes home games against Bradford City, Leeds United and Grimsby Town.
Barnsley announced the appointment of Daniel Stendel as head coach this afternoon and the German officially takes charge on July 1 - nine days before the fixture at Bootham Crescent.
City's players, meanwhile, are due back for pre-season training on Wednesday, June 27, and the new Vanarama National League North season starts on Saturday, August 4.

Saturday, July 7: Shildon AFC (A) 3pm
Tuesday, July 10: Barnsley (H) 7pm
Saturday, July 14: Bradford City (H) 7pm
Thursday, July 19: Leeds United (H) 7pm
Saturday, July 21: Grimsby Town (H) 3pm
Admission prices for home friendlies are £8 adults and £4 concessions.
