HOUNDS preserved their unbeaten Fastpack York Sunday Morning League first division record by winning 3-0 at championship rivals Wigginton Grasshoppers.

Jason Crisp bagged a brace and Sam Cable also scored in the potential title decider.

Elsewhere, York Nomads played a doubleheader against Malt Shovel and won both matches.

The first resulted in a 5-3 victory, with James Edmond (2), Sam Thompson and Liam Flanagan joining an own goal on the scoresheet.

Shovel replied through Will Ramsey, Harry Brigham and Elliott Precious.

Jack Leeming hit a hat-trick in the second fixture with Derry Robson getting Malt’s consolation in a 3-1 defeat.

Nomads also played a midweek fixture against Hambleton, whose Jonathan Wileman and James Barrett ensured the scores were level at 2-2 going into the break.

Wileman’s second goal then gave Hambleton the lead and, after Nomads levelled, he completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot with Michael Braithwaite having earlier fired in a free kick during the 5-3 triumph.

Bishopthorpe CFC narrowly edged out NUR 3-2 with Ben Spencer and Rob Constable getting the latter’s goals, while Hambleton overcame Selby Olympia 4-1 thanks to Richard Matthews, Braithwaite, Jordan Leyburn and Matthew Pearse efforts.

In division two, leaders Atlanta saw off FC Harrogate 6-1, as Shane Hand and Gareth Traynor both bagged braces, with Ben Lambert also on target.

Zak Allen responded for FC Harrogate.

Acomb Club were 8-3 winners at K Town United with Thomas Medd (3), Alex Day (2), Cole Carter, Oliver Murray and David Jamieson on target.

Jim Heels got all three of United’s goals.

Acomb’s Steve Abbott and Hand, of Atlanta, were the marksmen, meanwhile, in their teams’ 2-2 draw.

Sub Reece Stronach grabbed five goals as Thorpe United ran riot 19-0 at White Horse.

Curtis Swain (4), Kyle Hesling (2), Adam Blades (2), Matthew Harker, Jon Dobson, Lewis Cox, Dalian Spratt, Matt Jamieson and Alex Bowden also joined in the fun.

Walnut Tree edged a 3-2 win against Burnholme after a Jordan Coulson hat-trick.

Owen Pudsey and Carl Falcone replied.

Wentworth’s Rob Forrester scored the only goal of the game to defeat bottom side Kings Head and Matt Russell earned York Medics a 1-1 draw against Rawcliffe United.

Clockhouse overcame midweek opponents White Horse 8-1 with Bradley Walters (3), Dylan Howlett (2), Tom Cooper, Callum Atkinson and Jack Bywater the marksmen.

Joe Stilgoe grabbed White Horse’s consolation.

A 3-3 draw saw Forrester (2) and Harry Hill on target for Wentworth, with Matthew Fortnam, Robbie Britland and Henry Lonsdale netting for Medics.
