York City Rowing Club prior to the first round victory at Henley
YORK City Rowing Club progressed to the second round of the Thames Challenge Cup yesterday at the Henley Royal Regatta.
The eight man crew - consisting of Phil Press, Paul Richardson, Charlie Heise, Patrick Evans, Ben Bollans, Iain Edmondson, Andrew Wilkinson
Dan Lewis and Louise Hawkyard (Cox) - upset the odds when beating Thames Rowing Club 'C' by half a length on the River Thames.
They now take on Leander Club who beat Worcester Rowing Club.
