PORTUGUESE striker Carlos Djalo and Cameroon born midfielder Piteu Crouz are both set to play for Tadcaster Albion in tomorrow’s Evo-Stik First Division North clash with Prescott Cables.

Djalo, 25, started his career at Spanish club Valencia B but has spent the past two seasons playing in Portugal and Albania.

Crouz, meanwhile, made his debut for the Brewers as a midweek substitute against Glossop North End.

He is currently registered with Liversedge of the Northern Counties East League but began his career in Leeds United’s youth academy before moving to Slovakia to play for FC Slovako B.

Brewers manager Billy Miller said: “Piteu has been playing for Liversedge and looked sharp and lively in midweek. He created a couple of good chances and he is one to keep an eye on in the next couple of weeks as we see if we can get him a bit more game time.

“Hopefully, we will have Carlos too this weekend,” Miller added, “He’s coming up on Friday and should have his (international) clearance.”

The Brewers, who are 10 points clear of the relegation zone with six games to play, lost 3-1 at Glossop in midweek. Fullback Josh Grant was sent-off.

Scarborough Athletic’s play-off hopes have been boosted by a hat-trick of wins against Kendal Town, Glossop, and Ramsbottom United.

Boro, who visit struggling Mossley tomorrow, are now just one point outside the top five with five games to play.

“We know that we are not there yet but it is up to us to make sure that we keep collecting the points,” said manager Steve Kittrick. “There is still a lot of football to be played and, in that time, a lot can happen.”

Loanees James King and Adam Porritt are expected to feature in Harrogate Town’s trip to Tamworth in Vanarama National League North.
