TADCASTER Magnet bowled out hosts Thirsk for just 62 in York & District Senior Cricket League Galtres division two.

Nadeem Shefta (4-34) and Paul Clark (3-21) did the damage, before Ed Day’s unbeaten 40 saw Taddy win by nine wickets in eight overs.

Leaders Ripon had a nine-wicket win at Sessay II after bowling their hosts out for 83 and then losing just the wicket of Rob Taylor (45).

Rob Ellis turned in a match-winning performance for Pannal as they won by seven wickets at Easingwold.

Ellis bagged 3-40 as Easingwold posted 160-8, and then made 66 in the reply.

Sheriff Hutton Bridge were en route to victory over Wetherby when their game was abandoned with Bridge on 135-1 chasing 155-9. Jack Hugill (53) and Paul Oldfield (36no) were among the runs for the home side after John Tweddle made 66 for Wetherby.

Duncombe Park’s game against Hovingham was abandoned in the first innings with the visitors on 153-6.

Thorp Arch & Boston Spa posted 188-7, Guy Whatmore hitting 84, before their match was abandoned in the second innings with Woodhouse Grange II on 83-3.

In Galtres division three, Wayne Linton grabbed 5-15 for Stillington as Civil Service II were skittled for 47. Stillington took 6.4 overs to win by ten wickets.

Sheriff Hutton were denied a likely victory by the rain in an interrupted game at Heworth.

After a tight opening, Geoff Schofield punished the young Heworth attack to finish unbeaten on 83 in the visitors' 205-4.

In reply, 16-year-old Dan Davison made a quick-fire 25 but Heworth slumped to 52-4 before the heavens opened again and the game was abandoned.

Leaders New Earswick were 77-5 chasing 101-8 at Huby when their encounter was brought to an early end.

Osbaldwick II have won Galtres division four following a ten-wicket win at Sheriff Hutton II .

Chris Hammerton bagged 6-27 as the hosts were all out for 63. Phil Hall’s 45 was the foundation to Osso picking up maximum points.

New Earswick II were 23-0 chasing Stillington II's 149-8 when poor weather forced an early finish. Tim Jarvis (54) top scored for Stillington.

Duncombe Park II (63-2) were on their way to chasing down Hovingham II's 103-9 when their match was abandoned. Alistair Thorpe had top scored with 34 for Hovingham, while William Smith took 4-28 and former England player Bev Nicholson 3-30 for Duncombe Park.

Carlton Towers bagged full points at home to Heworth II (161-5) as they made a late charge for promotion from Ebor division two.

Will Rymer (35) and Salman Syed (31) saw Heworth to 161-5, Mark Spetch taking 3-27.

With support from Mark Holmes (46), Spetch then made 46 not out to see the hosts home to full points at 164-2.

William Spencer (33) helped Malton & Old Malton II to 57-2 at home to Yapham when poor weather ended play.

Charlie Roberts hit 81 and Neil Elvidge was unbeaten on 76 in Scarborough II’s 207-2 at leaders Dringhouses, who in reply were 61-0 when rain stopped play, Andrew Simpson left on 35 not out.

Londesborough Park posted 184-9 at home to Pickering II thanks in main to Tom Eagling’s 59. Pickering had reached 27-2 when their game was abandoned.

Visitors Clifton Alliance II were 86-4 chasing the 121-8 set by Hemingbrough when their game ended early.

James Fletcher (61) Aidan Burton (49), and Paul Neal (47no) saw Acomb II post 246-5 at York III. Rain prevented the second innings getting underway.

In Ebor division three, Civil Service were 39-3 at home to Cawood when their match was curtailed by rain.

Jason Greaves scored 86 not out for Goole II at home to Whitkirk II when rain stopped play with the visitors on 42-2 in reply. Castleford were 40-0 at leaders Stamford Bridge II when that match ended.

In Ebor division four, Thorp Arch & Boston Spa II and Bolton Percy II both earned ten points after their game was abandoned with TABS on 167-6. North Duffield were 51-4 chasing Drax's 217-4 when their match was called off.
