YORK CITY'S Sky Bet League Two game against Northampton Town today is off.
Heavy rainfall in the Minster city on Christmas Day and into Boxing Day saw a pitch inspection take place at Bootham Crescent at 10.30am this morning.
The match official took a look at conditions and decided the surface was unplayable.
No new date for the game has yet been arranged.
The club said on their twitter page: "A new date and kick off time for this fixture will be announced in due course.
"We would like to thank the ground staff that attempted to get the game on today."
