LONG-SERVING utility man Dan Parslow has not been offered a new contract at York City.

The former Wales under-21 international leaves Bootham Crescent nine years after his arrival from Cardiff.

Parslow made 316 appearances for City and scored four goals.

He has not played for the club, though, since suffering cruciate ligament damage at Southend in November 2013.

The two-time Press Player of the Year also spent the majority of last season on loan at Grimsby, who he played for in last weekend’s Conference play-off final, penalty shoot-out defeat to Bristol Rovers.

On his departure, City boss Russ Wilcox said: “I would like to thank Dan for his nine years of service at the football club and wish him all the best for the future.”
