The following weekend, the club are running a play-in-a-day session, offering small group tuition on croquet technique in the morning, followed by an afternoon’s play. The day will be led by accredited York Croquet Club coaches.
Numbers for play-in-a-day will be limited and booking is essential. Further details are available on the club website www.yorkcroquet.org or by phoning 01904 620211.
“Croquet is one of the few games that people of either sex can play on equal terms,” said John Harris, York Croquet Club chairman.
“It offers an absorbing mix of outdoor activity and tactical challenges.”
