LIAM McKENDRY smashed a century as York Cricket Club cruised into the quarter-finals of the Royal London ECB National Club Championship.
York beat Chesterfield by 158 runs in the last 16 at Clifton Park yesterday, with McKendry's 105 forming the bedrock of their 310-3 from 45 overs.
Simon Lambert hit 60 at the top of the order and fellow opener Dan Woods struck 42, before Liam's brother, Ryan McKendry, hit an unbeaten 86.
Chesterfield were then bowled out for 152, with Woods taking four wickets and fellow spinner Tom Pringle claimed three victims.
York, who won the competition in 2012, will now travel to Chorley in the quarter-finals on Sunday.
