DRINGHOUSES 'A' will take on Dunnington 'B' in the final of the York Amateur Bowling Association Veterans Maddison Cup.

The Dringhouses 'A' rink of G Tuxford, G Elliott, G Symons and skip M Thompson beat D Imeson, J Freeman, W Thomlinson and J Baxter of Wigginton 'B' 17-13 in the semi-finals atRailway Institute in Ashton Lane.

In the second semi, Dunnington 'B’s rink of P Raines, J Headly, D Booth and skip R Tiplady spoiled Wigginton's day by beating their 'A' team of J Parsons, B Shipley, C Ellis and D Jervis 17-15.

In the last four of the Coronation Cup, Shipton's L Blackburn, M Peacock, K Lippett and skip K Fort beat RI Amateurs 22-17.

They will face Bootham in the final after D Dawson, J Hackett, D Henderson and skip M Head ousted H Baker, P Bainbridge, S Paylor and skip D Robinson of West Park 'A' 26-10.

The finals of both cups will be staged at West Park on Thursday, July 31.
