THE top two picked up 8-0 wins in division one of the York Amateur Bowling Association League.
Leaders Holgate beat visiting Dringhouses and second-placed Holgate WMC had a resounding success at Rowntree.
Bottom club Rowntree also went down 7.5-0.5 at Selby, who had previously won 6-2 away to RI Amateurs, results that helped them climb to third place.
Dringhouses slipped down the table following a 7-1 defeat at home to Dunnington, while Hull Road Park eased their relegation worries with an 8-0 home win over Haxby Road.
Division two has new leaders in the form of Shipton as they followed wins over Bootham (6-2) and RI Corinthians (8-0) with a 6-2 reverse against RI Corinthians.
Wigginton enjoyed two 7-1 away wins against previous leaders West Park and Clifton, enabling them to climb to third.
RI Corinthians remain in touch with the leaders despite their other game ending in a 6-2 defeat at previously winless Harrogate.
Harrogate’s fortunes continued to improve when they also defeated Clifton 6-2, moving them off the bottom at the expense of Burnholme, who sank to the basement despite breaking their duck with a 7-1 victory at Bootham.
The lead also changed hands in division three. Osbaldwick’s 7-1 loss at Poppleton Road WMC proved costly as, despite an 8-0 win over Minster, they dropped to third.
There were two wins apiece for Scarcroft and Copmanthorpe. Scarcroft beat Poppleton away and University at home, both 7-1, while Copmanthorpe were 7-1 victors at home to bottom club University and 6-2 at Retreat.
