SWINDON: A 44-year-old who is accused of carrying out a serious assault is to face trial by judge and jury.
Gary Pett pleaded not guilty to a charge of grievous bodily harm with intent when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court.
It is alleged he carried out the assault on Thomas Hicks in Kemble on Monday, December 30. Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case until Tuesday, September 2. He released Pett, of The Firs, Kemble, on bail until then.
