York City v Fleetwood Town - live play-off semi-final first leg match blog
This live event has finished
That's it. It's full time. York City 0, Fleetwood Town 1.
There will be three minutes of additional time. John McCombe has just blocked a shot over the bar. The sponsor's man of the match has gone to Lanre Oyebanjo.
Just under five minutes remaining. York 0, Fleetwood 1.
Fleetwood's first change. David Ball is off, Stewart Murdoch is on.
How big a chance will that be? Coulson slipped and Morris played in Hume only for him to slot the ball wide of the post. It should have been 2-0.
Following a bizarre set of deflections off Fleetwood defenders, York have a corner.
Ten minutes remaining.
It's a dangerous free kick, but Hayhurst loops it over the bar.
He follows that up by getting booked for a crunching tackle on Oyebanjo on the right wing.
Josh Morris's snapshot from just outside the area is well dealt with by Pope moving down to his right.
15 minutes remaining in the first leg at Bootham Crescent. City trail 1-0.
Getting more chances... Have too convert one! COME ON!!! #YCFC— @BenWheeler404 12 May 2014
Driven cross by Hayhurst is just flicked over by Coulson. They are getting closer. Can they convert?
Tonight's attendance 5,124 (252 from Fleetwood).
Oyebanjo cross finds Reed. He can't get a shot off and the ball falls to Coulson, who fires it wide from 12 yards.
This is better from York, who just need to remember not to panic. They are behind but we will only be half way through this clash at the end of this game.
Coulson cross is sidefooted towards goal by Bowman - he didn't really connect - and is saved by Maxwell.
Delivery is City's biggest problem at the moment. Hayhurst had two chances to get a decent ball into the box there and didn't take either of them.
Blair rampant down the right again but, this time, he flashes his shot wide of the post. That's a big let off for City. He should really have hit the target.
City need to up the tempo here and, just after the hour mark, Nigel Worthington makes his first change. Ryan Bowman comes on for Ryan Brobbel.
City are rocking a bit at the moment. Iain Hume's ball is almost capitalised on by Ball, who puts his poked effort just wide of the post.
Ball puts the ball across goal and Blair is waiting at the far post to bundle it home past Pope. A body blow for York.
Matty Blair has scored for Fleetwood.
So close for City! Andrew flick on sets Coulson away and he cuts in from the left and drills a shot just narrowly wide of the far post.
Much more urgency from York in just the opening two minutes and that has got the crowd going. Will it continue?
We are back under way at Bootham Crescent.
The players are out for the second half. York will be attacking the Shippo.
Well, a tense game but not much to speak of in terms of goalmouth action. I'm pretty sure City boss Nigel Worthington will be happy with that. His team have been tight and compact.
Fleetwood grew into the game the more the half went on but they didn't really threaten City in any real way while, at the other end, Fleetwood keeper Chris Maxwell has yet to make a save.
Half-time here at Bootham Crescent. York City 0, Fleetwood 0.
We are going to have just a minute of additional time at the end of the first half.
Speaking of agricultural, we've had our first yellow of the game - Steven Schumacher shown the card after sending Oyebanjo crashing to the ground.
To say this game is slightly agricultural would be a masterpiece of understatement! #playoffs #YCFC— @Cybilpop 12 May 2014
Fleetwood are just starting to get into their stride here.
Blair finally gets past Davies, cutting in from the right but his attempted pass goes harmlessly behind Pope's goal.
I feel your pain.
Everyone today: im so nervous for my first exam Me: im not bothered about my exam im nervous for #ycfc vs #ftfc— @jugglinmax 12 May 2014
Nick Pope was alert there. David Ball's shot flashed across goal, cannoned straight into John McCombe and flew goalwards.
The on-loan keeper did well and the deflection went straight into his hands.
It's not third time lucky, though, for York as Adam Reed's delivery is cleared at the near post.
You know what I am going to say, don't you?...
And another one...
Corner to City.
Don't want to jinx the lad, but Ben Davies has had a great half hour - marshalling and tackling. It's still 0-0 otherwise here at Bootham Crescent.
Mazy run from the right by Oyebenjo. He gets into a central position but then blazes his shot out of the ground.
Blair just skips past Will Hayhurst but once again finds his match in Ben Davies. This is a key match-up, I feel.
This game is set to really take off. As you would expect, especially given York City's defensive efforts this year, it's tight.
The corner is dealt with.
Corner again to Fleetwood. Antoni Sarcevic let fly from about 25 yards and Pope parried it behind.
Easily claimed by Nick Pope. Imnpressive goalkeeping. At the other end, Coulson had a chance to run towards the Fleetwood box but hopelessly over-ran the ball.
Corner to Fleetwood.
First shot of the game on 15 minutes. Ryan Brobbel skews a ball across to Calvin Andrew about 12 yards out and he side foots it towards goal but it is blocked.
Come on @yorkcityfc ! #ycfc You can do it.— @dickiewood 12 May 2014
Nice bit of work from Michael Coulson, twisting and turning on the left side of the box before sticking up a cross to the far post. It is dealt with by Mark Roberts.
11 minutes in, 0-0 and no chances of any kind yet.
Wish I was there!, come on City!! #YCFC— @patton_7 12 May 2014
I'm no match photographer but a wide shot of the action at BC #ycfc http://t.co/H01r8BcovT— @scarrollPress 12 May 2014
Deep cross from the right by Matty Blair is expertly fielded in the six yard box by Lanre Oyebanjo. That's the first time Fleetwood have had a really dangerous position.
Come On Calvin Andrew! #cpfc #Ycfc— @YorkEagle 12 May 2014
Yooooooorkshire, yoorkshire! Come on #YCFC— @Coleby18 12 May 2014
Five minutes gone, it's 0-0 and it's a pretty even start for both teams.
Keith Lowe sold Nick Pope a little short there with a backpass. But the City keeper is composed, dips a shoulder and rifles it to safety.
First time Ben Davies meets Matty Blair this evening - and it's Davies who is victorious in the opening challenge.
The play-off semi-final first leg is under way. At last!
Players out! COME ON YORK... #YCFC— @BenWheeler404 12 May 2014

The David Longhurst Stand is absolutely bouncing now...
Fifteen minutes to kick-off. I promise it's going to happen this time. Cross my heart.
CMON. York! Take 2 at this play off match. A couple of goals and a clean sheet would be amazing to take to Fleetwood on Friday! #ycfc— @Fulhamhamster 12 May 2014
City's players run through their training drills. #ycfc http://t.co/hDYid84al3— @scarrollPress 12 May 2014
It'll be really interesting to see how fast Fleetwood start this match. It may only be a couple of hours drive from Lancashire but I'd imagine a lot of nervous energy was spent with everything that happened on Saturday night.
Remember it was only 15 minutes before kick-off that the game was initially delayed before it was eventually postponed - and then they had to make that journey back, only to do a repeat trip this afternoon.
York's players will have got a good night's rest. Nigel Worthington won the battle of rescheduling.
Fleetwood were very keen that his match was played tomorrow. Let's see how it all pans out.
Pre-match nerves are really starting to kick in now. C'mon City!!!! #YCFC— @tgarrett3 12 May 2014
@YorkCityNews @yorkcityfc good luck to the guys! gutted I can't be there but I'll be watching on sky! #ycfc ⚽️— @jasminelishka 12 May 2014
Filling up nicely... #ycfc http://t.co/wYSA3Plr5n— @scarrollPress 12 May 2014
Come on #ycfc. Don't be camera shy tonight! Thank the ground staff & fans with a nice 3-1 win :) #thedreamison #wembleyagainplease— @SimonEasthill 12 May 2014
Unsurprisingly, there are no changes for either side - in the starting 11 or on the bench.
That means it will be two wingers for York City with Will Hayhurst looking to continue where he left off against Scunthorpe United as a second half substitute.
Weather-wise, the rain is still trickling down but, overall, it's looking a lot brighter than it did on Saturday night.

Good evening everyone from Bootham Crescent and take two of York City's League Two play-off semi-final first leg clash with Fleetwood Town.
You'll not be surprised to learn it's raining again here at the ground - but the two goalmouths are covered and the game doesn't look in any danger at the moment.
It should be a very intriguing clash with Fleetwood making the trip to York for the second time in 48 hours and Nigel Worthington's men looking to build on a 17-match unbeaten run which has taken them all the way to the brink of Wembley?
So can they take a big step towards the Arch with victory tonight? Stay with me throughout the evening as we find out.
