VETERAN athlete Jim Farrar is celebrating a bronze medal at the World Masters Championships in Budapest.
The 86-year-old, from Huntington, finished third in the ten kilometre walk at the global event in one hour 28 minutes, having narrowly missed out on a medal in finishing fourth in the three kilometre race.
The world glory followed on the heels of Farrars haul of four gold medals at the recent British Masters Athletic Federation Championships at Lee Valley.
