Venetia Williams, who had 18 winners in January and who has equalled that tally this month, can continue her purple patch at Bangor today by completing a treble.

The Herefordshire trainer is fancied to score with Rosa Fleet, Take The Mick and Mudita Moment, who is three-from-three this season.

The bangorBET Handicap Hurdle is this afternoon’s target for Mudita Moment, who is chasing a four-timer after wins at Warwick, Plumpton and Huntingdon. He has kept pace with the handicapper the whole time, winning off marks of 92, 99 and 110.

He now races off a mark of 115, which will test him, perhaps to the limit. But he has been in such unstoppable form that a further success looks on the cards.

Take The Mick, who has not finished out of the first two in his last four starts and who was a winner at Ludlow on his latest run, looks sure to go well for Williams in the Hampton Veterinary Group Handicap Chase.

Runner-up at Towcester last time, Take The Mick is very much at the top of his game at present and he can utilise bottom weight in this three-miler.

Williams placed Rosa Fleet to win at Market Rasen earlier in the month and the six-year-old is napped to oblige once more in the Clywd Special Riding Centre Novices’ Hurdle.

A 7lb penalty is likely to make life tougher for Rosa Fleet, but it may not be enough to anchor her in the hands of Aidan Coleman, Williams’ stable jockey, who will also be aboard Mudita Moment and Take The Mick.

Also worth noting at Bangor is Quel Elite, who journeys down from Jimmy Moffatt’s Lake District yard.

The ten-year-old excelled himself at Haydock on his penultimate start when finishing a close-up second in a competitive handicap, but he bombed out on the same course last time.

Moffatt has fitted him with a first-time visor today in an effort to relight the fire in Quel Elite, who will benefit from the services of jockey Brian Hughes.

At Wincanton, Colin Tizzard, who yesterday announced that his stable star Cue Card would miss next month’s Cheltenham Festival, can win the Higos Insurance Services Platnum Novices’ Handicap Hurdle with Midnight Thunder.

Joe Tizzard’s mount finished second to Baltimore Rock here last time and occupied the same position on his previous outing at Newbury.

He is now into handicap company for the first time and, off a fair rating of 110, looks sure to be in the mix at the business end.

Paul Nicholls rarely leaves his local track empty-handed and today should be no exception.

The season’s leading trainer saddles Fairytale Theatre in the opening Higos For All Commercial Needs Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle and Daryl Jacob's mount is fancied to defy a 7lb penalty for her recent 14 lengths win at Taunton.

Mystic Appeal should not be overlooked in the Higos Motor Deal Handicap Hurdle.

The eight-year-old is entitled to come on for his fifth-placed effort at Exeter on his seasonal reappearance earlier in the month. He was a winner on this course last April and is now set to race off only a 4lb higher mark.
