Meeting to discuss possible new Triathlon club
12:39pm Friday 21st February 2014 in Sport
A LAUNCH night for a possible new triathlon club in Tadcaster will be held at the town’s swimming pool in Westgate, on Wednesday, February 26, starting at 7.30pm.
The meeting will include representatives from Triathlon England, North Yorkshire Sport, Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust, and local community clubs.
The purpose of the night is to allow anyone to find out more about the sport of triathlon and steer the development of a future club.
Details on how the club would be run and formats for training will be discussed. Anyone interested is invited and the new set-up would welcome triathletes of all abilities, with no previous experience required.
Organiser Adam Prentis said the new outfit would be keen to establish relationships with clubs involved in each of the three disciplines of triathlon – with local cycling, running and swimming organisations all welcome to attend.
He said: “We want to create a network of those enthusiastic about triathlons in our district.”
For further details phone Prentis on 07557 430347 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
