CITY of York Athletics Club ace Scott Lincoln narrowly missed out on a medal in the shot put at the Sainsbury's British Indoor Championships in Sheffield.
Lincoln, 20, finished fourth with a throw of 16.22 metres, a result which keeps him ranked third in England with selection for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow looming.
Lincoln is still ranked number one in the UK in the under-23 age group.
While Richard Buck finished second in the 400m final, fellow City of York athlete Dan Cheeseman finished fifth in his semi-final in the 1,500 metres.
