THE York City Knights Foundation has received a £300 donation from the Rotary Club of York Vikings.
The foundation run physical activity, education and healthy lifestyle programmes for more than 20,000 people per year across the region.
Graham Harris, the president of the Rotary Club of York Vikings, said: “We have concentrated strongly this year towards helping and motivating young people all over the world, but particularly in our own York area.
"York City Knights have recognised a need locally to engage and invigorate our youth and shown the vision and energy to put this into practice. Their work makes a real difference and we are proud to help.”
