UK Championship: day nine live blog

This live event has finished

And here is what Neil had to say about his win. That's it for this evening. We will be back tomorrow afternoon for the quarter-finals.

Fantastic from Robertson as well. He has finished a 6-1 winner over Joe Perry.

Neil Robertson is on a similarly destructive vein. He is 4-1 up over Joe Perry and in the balls once again.

Now listen to Ronnie talk about his display following his 6-0 win over Robert Milkins. Sensational stuff from the Rocket - breaks of 76, 63, 93, 58, 67, 57.

Devastating from Ronnie. 5-0 up and Robert Milkins looks like he has no answers. The game has barely been going an hour.

And Mark Allen is also through.

He trailed 3-1 and 4-2 to Judd Trump but, thanks to two slices of luck in the last frame, won 6-4 to book a place in the quarter-finals.

Judd Trump is easing away from Mark Allen in the afternoon's final match. He is 4-2 up on the Irishman and is in the balls.

Mark Selby is through. The defending champion continues his run with a 6-2 victory over Graeme Dott.

Impressive stuff from the Leicester man after the interval. He was fairly dominant.

The afternoon matches are well into their groove. The defending champion Mark Selby is 3-2 up against Graeme Dott.

On the other table, Judd Trump is 2-1 up against Mark Allen and looks to have a good chance in the fourth frame as well.

Ricky Walden has beaten Ding Junhui 6-4 and in pretty sensational fashion too.

Walden left the final pink ball over the pocket for the Chinese player, but he sensationally missed it and left it over the middle pocket for Walden to pot and secure passage to the quarter-finals.

He may have lost this morning, but David Morris has had a fine tournament. Hear him talking about his match with Stuart Bingham by clicking above.

Stuart Bingham is through. He has beaten David Morris 6-1.

Ding has fought back strongly. He was 3-1 down to Ricky Walden but it is now tied at 3-3.

The end is night for David Morris. He's had a great run, but he is now 5-1 down to Stuart Bingham.

Matches are moving on at pace here at the Barbican this morning.

Stuart Bingham is already within striking distance of the quarter-final. He leads David Morris 4-1.

Ricky Walden and Ding Junhui, meanwhile, are involved in a right battle. It's 3-2 to the Chester man in a match that looks like it might go all the way to the wire.

Let's start with a bit of housework from yesterday, when some technical difficulties prevented us from providing live updates last night.

Ronnie O'Sullivan is, of course, through. Here he is talking about his match against Marcus Campbell yesterday.

Good morning again from the York Barbican.

We are already under way on day nine of the UK Championship and Ricky Walden is about to go one frame up on Ding Junhui in their last 16 match.

It's a busy day at York with two matches this morning, this afternoon and tonight.

We are down to a two table now at the venue and, across from Ding, Stuart Bingham is taking on David Morris.

It looks like it is going to be another cracking day of snooker.
